Our Baby Burritos! These things are a lifesaver!

HERE GOES NOTHING!
It's funny, I've started this page more than once and even now don't really know where to begin. I was talking to Mom earlier today and told her I was creating a blog. She laughed. Then said, "It sure would have been easier to start when Madison was a baby than it will be now." She's right, again! Therefore I'm not going to try to catch up in one day; instead, I'll just backtrack a little at a time.
For starters, Madison had an Easter Egg Hunt at school today. I wish you could have seen us. Steve was flying so it was up to me to get the babies loaded up and to school by 10:30. I was lucky enough that a friend of ours was willing to take Madison at 8:00 this morning. With Madison already at school I began the feeding process at 8:30 just to get everyone fed and changed before we had to leave at 10:15. Before heading out the door I wrapped myself in this large piece of fabric (I'm currently borrowing from a friend) that is actually made to create a sling to carry your baby in (I'll have to take a picture of it). Well, the instruction book also shows you how to fold and wrap it so that you can carry twins. Once we arrived at school I muscled the kiddos into the sling and quickly realized how nice it was to have my hands free without the hassle of pushing a stroller through millions of loose rocks and the thick grass. But wow, Lisa & Collin sure have gained some weight. I never imagined 8 extra pounds would feel so heavy. The big kids were really cute walking out to the playground with their teacher Mrs. Wood. They could hardly contain themselves and had to be reminded to walk. Madison enjoyed the egg hunt and was able to play on the playground for a little while before the babies got restless and we headed home. Sadly to say, I forgot the camera so I'm at the mercy of friends for pictures. I'll post them when I get them.
The only other exciting thing happening today are my babies' Miracle Blankets. The most wonderful thing in the world and invented by a dad. Steve calls it the baby straight jacket. After logging many random nights on the couch with a sleeping baby on our chests and devoting many hours to getting babies back to sleep after middle of the night feedings we've finally found something that works! I took them to the pediatrician last week for their 2 month checkup and she recommended these fabulous blankets and they've made all the difference in the world. The idea is that babies like to be swaddled. Well, they're right. I could have sworn my babies hated to be wrapped up but they actually love it. And, the best part about this blanket is that they can't get out of it no matter how hard they try. Nap time and bedtime come so much easier around our house. I love it, I have 2 little baby burritos!
Well, that's about all I have for now. I'm sure nap time is over and Madison has been patient long enough. I'll take pictures this afternoon and download them tonight. Cheers!
